New visitors center 'Anno Haarlem'

A step across the threshold of the Haarlem City Hall at visitor center 'Anno Haarlem' inside, is a step in the history of Haarlem. The city hall has been the 'heart' of Haarlem since the 14th century. You understand; if the walls of the City Hall could talk they would be full of stories. Unfortunately, the walls have never said a word. Yet there is enough to discover in the cellars of the City Hall the rich history of Haarlem. Among others by viewing the animation 'A Spin Around Haarlem', you fly past the earliest inhabitants of the area to the Spaarne, the construction of the St. Bavokerk, the glory days of the Golden Age and the first Dutch railway between Amsterdam and Haarlem.

You are heartily invited to view the full animation at the visitor centre Anno Haarlem in the City Hall at Grote Markt. Anno Haarlem is open and free of charge to the public from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 tot 16 hours.
'A spin around Haarlem' guides you in 6 minutes through the rich history of the Spaarne city.
